Wheel in a wheel

Artist Leslie Koehler throws a chopstick bowl on a pottery wheel in her Marshfield studio this week. Koehler has been producing Majolica style pottery for more than two decades and draws inspiration from Mediterranean pottery, the tiles of the Middle East and North Africa, and Japanese ink painting with its simple, yet elegant brushwork. Koehler's work can be found locally at the Artisans' Hand in Montpelier and Artisans' Gallery in Waitsfield.
