I am supporting Sue Higby for Ward One councilor, and here is why.

For over 19 years, she has lead, supported and inspired a gem of an art space on Main Street. The City Council saved the Nichols block from the wrecking ball, but Sue created a self-sustaining attraction for Barre.

Sue’s strength’s include clear thinking, thorough evaluation of projects and proposals. This shows in her insistence that whatever the Council takes up, all aspects and interested parties must be heard and respected. Her commitment to openness and transparency in government are legion. Much needs to happen for Barre to shine: rescuing housing from decay; establishing alternative uses for empty space downtown; both of these playing a crucial role raising our grand list.

Sue will play a positive role in those programs.
