Since at least 2015, Trump has been insulting and inciting hatred against immigrants, especially people of color. Among his many claims are illegal immigration costs jobs, lowers wages, increases crime, undermines public safety, overburdens schools and hospitals, and depletes the social safety net.

The statements are contradicted by the best research we have. For example, employment data suggests the influx of immigrants increases hiring rather than erodes job growth. Vanda Felbab-Brown, a senior fellow from the Brookings Institute, studied the impact of immigrants on the wages of native-born workers and found it to be low. She explained that many of the jobs occupied by undocumented workers are physically demanding jobs — gutting fish, work on farm fields — that Americans do not want.

Trump’s claim that immigrants commit serious crimes like homicides, rape and larceny at much higher rates, also flies in the face of available evidence. Data from Texas, a politically conservative state that shares a long border with Mexico and has a large immigrant population, showed immigrants committed those crimes at rates well below native-born Americans. Arrest and conviction rates for Texas in 2015, the most recent year available, were 50 percent lower for illegal immigrants than native-born Americans.

Does Trump say these things out of ignorant but sincere belief, or simply to incite his base? The former would be a sad commentary on his intellectual fitness. The latter would mean he is a malicious liar willing to do anything to obtain votes.

Personal privacy? I took my Army Draft and Air Force enlistment physical four months after I graduated in Boston in 1967. I joined the Air Force, 20450 Intelligence Operations Specialist. Two tours South East Asia, total time 30 months over seas from 1969 thru 1972. Both tours voluntary Kirk. ' I kinda doubt Trump is upset about a frivolous law suit' So the following means nothing I guess. Regarding the charges, Trump was quoted: 'They are absolutely ridiculous.' Court documents, however, show that putting the allegations behind him was tougher than the 2016 candidate suggests. Three years after the consent decree he agreed to, the DoJ went back to court to say the Trumps were not complying with the settlement. Rental agent Stanley Leibowitz quoted Fred Trump, in Donald Trumps presence; 'You know I don't rent to the N-word. Put it [the application] in a drawer and forget about it.' Nice people you stick up for Kirk. Cadet Bone Spurs would be proud of you if he could focus on someone besides himself.

"The Supreme Court does not superseded [sic] God's law" The First Amendment not only allows citizens the freedom to practice any religion of their choice, but also prevents the government from officially recognizing or favoring any religion, God's law included. If I am not mistaken, Kirk, that same religion suggested cutting a child in half (murder, Kirk) just to resolve an argument. As for - Abortion is not just for convenience. Distraction anyone? I never said it was. Convenience is not the issue Kirk, a pregnant woman's liberty to choose is the issue. There is a big difference between a woman choosing not to have an abortion and being told she has no choice. Kirk, I notice you failed to address even one of the issues relevant to a child after it is born. What about the rest of the child's life Kirk? 60, 70, 80 years? What about the ethics of sending the child to be killed in war Kirk? Children are being sent to the Middle East to fight in a war that started before they were born. What about a society that makes no effort to protect a child from addiction; drug, alcohol, nicotine. What about the life a child can expect in a society where their generation will struggle just to live on this planet? You don't answer those questions Kirk. The real questions! As to the housing discrimination, look it up - It has nothing to do with 'If anyone lets or sublets' The 1973 law suit is fact, this very specifically is a case that charges Donald Trump, Fred Trump and their company of race bias in housing rentals. It has nothing to do with Trump being president and everything to do with Trump and his bigotry. He has the nerve to suggest it was not JUST towards blacks. 'What we didn’t do was rent to welfare cases, white or black,' Trump wrote in a 1987 book. When the 'apartment' is not available if you're black but miraculously is available if you're white, welfare doesn't seem to come into play now does it? "It was a suit that was directly against them, and it is one that Donald Trump to this day clearly is upset about." The settlement required the Trump firm to institute a series of safeguards to make sure apartments were rented without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Kirk, What? '...long before your favorite President became President Trump.' Is this something along the lines of Trumps statement that NASA should focus on much bigger things 'including Mars (of which the Moon is a part)' He claims to ‘know words’ but it is obvious he does not have the ability to use them coherently and this is from a man who stares directly into a solar eclipse on national television.

Kirk

Oh here we go again:-/ A woman does not have the ‘right’ to kill a child (period). If she chooses to do so, does not make it right. If you hadn’t notice Al, the military draft ended decades ago. Your idea that 60, 70, 80 year old ‘children’ being sent to fight any war is hilarious and a distraction from the conversation. The military is all voluntary, in case you were unaware, and those ‘children’ sign-up to do a job knowing all too well what they are engaging themselves into. Al, I was born into a very poor family and struggled to make into the top 2-5% of the economic social ladder with no financial help from anyone, including my parents. Don’t give me the BS guilt trip about the poor little children on one hand and then telling the readers that a woman has the ‘right’ to kill an unborn child. Housing, now that is another issue. I own properties in Vermont, Pennsylvania, and Florida and I will choose the folks to whom I want to rent. As a person of color, like all humans, I have have that ‘right’ as a private landlord. I owe the likes of you nothing. Donald Trump has the right to rent to whom ever he wants just as I do. I have 71 applicants, I can choose anyone of them or none of them, period Al. Your liberal ‘pie in the sky’ idealistic ‘values’ do not prevail in the real world, Al. If you can’t figure out what President Trump was referring to with the Mars/Moon analogy, well, keep thinking about the abstraction for no one shall spoon feed you :-/

READ Kirk! I didn't say choose to abort. There is a big difference between a woman choosing not to have an abortion and being told she has no choice. READ Kirk I didn't say 60 70 80 year old children I said the REST OF THE CHILD'S LIFE READ Kirk I didn't say anything about draft. What about the ethics of sending the child to be killed in war Kirk? If they join they will be sent to die in a war (murdered for profits) that never ends so the military industrial complex can make it's money. Republican President Eisenhower warned us about the MIC, Kirk. Who joins the military Kirk? The top 2-5%? Not on your life supporter of Cadet Bone Spurs. I notice you failed to address even one of the issues relevant to a child after it is born. ... like all humans, I have have that 'right' as a private landlord - Not in this country Kirk, NOT IF YOU FOLLOW THE RULES and treat everyone the same! Something Trump and you fail to understand apparently. "It was a suit that was directly against them, and it is one that Donald Trump to this day clearly is upset about." because it lays open his bigotry for everyone to see.

Kirk

Geeze Al, the rest of the child’s life....60,70,80.....what s spin doctor you are, Al:-/ There is a big difference between an unborn heart beating child being given no choice to life, based on the mother’s freedom of choice, and being given the choice to live. The former you support, volumes told. Let me make myself a little more vague for you Al, your children chose to serve in the armed forces, knowing they will go to war for profit....who’s profit?!? Bullet and bombs are not free Al. Who joins the military, who ever wants to top 1-5% or whomever:- I noticed you never address my letter response to you several months ago, A:-/ Re-read some of my questions to you that you have chosen to conveniently ignore. Al, unless you spent 32 years in Real Estate and have studied Real Estate Law and have been exposed to the workings of the Fair Housing Act, refrain from your ill-informed advice. Apparently you don’t understand free and open market competition within the law......let me repeat, I and Donald Trump can pick and choose who we want to rent to based on who is a good match for our lease terms. And, yes, Al, I treat everyone the same something you fail to understand. I kinda doubt Trump is upset about a frivolous law suit:-/ Oh, I almost forgot, I was drafted during the Vietnam War, howabout you........oh, I forgot, you don’t answer questions as a matter of personal privacy.....LOL, tee, hee, hee :-/

Kirk, you really should look into 'Psychological Projection' Trump has it down pat. You seem to also. 'Why don't you state exactly what you stand for rather than belittling other people?' - if that isn't Trump I don't know what is. That you use the same methods confirms your need to cast your issues on others as well. 410 U.S. 113 (1973), was a landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in which the Court ruled that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution provides a fundamental "right to privacy" that protects a pregnant woman's liberty to choose whether or not to have an abortion. Key words here are '... "right to privacy" that protects a pregnant woman's liberty to choose...' The right to control her own body, Kirk. Personal right, Kirk. 100% of all unwanted pregnancies are caused by men Kirk. Men demand control of their body and deny women the same privilege. Get a clue Kirk. Not all children conceived get to live Kirk. Miscarriages are a fact of life. Again, however, it is not your decision what any woman should do in the realities of life she faces. That is her choice, you have no decision control or authority on that reality. The arrogance that you believe you do speaks volumes. I have answered your first question Kirk, why do you keep asking? You need to define your position instead of whining about the opinion of others just because you prefer to support the likes of George Nader (who is not interested in the rights of the 'child'), Donald Trump (who has belittled 30+ U.S. politicians, half a dozen or more Foreign leaders - including Trump's love interest; Rocket Man Kim Jong-un, 20 or so Media figures, and another half dozen or more Organizations and couldn't be bothered to take his youngest son with him to the UK), and Mitch McConnell (who is not interested in the Constitution of the United States of America.) Kirk, what about the rights of a child to not be separated from family? They are not responsible for the family they were born into. What about the rights of a child's safety in school? What about the rights of a child to not be locked in a cage? What about the rights of a child to receive proper nutrition? What about the rights of a child to receive medical care in custody? What about the rights of a child pregnant from rape? What about the rights of children to have a clean healthy environment to live in AFTER the adults that trashed it are gone? What about the rights of a child Kirk, huh what about them? Is your hypocrisy going to rise up now while you try to justify any or all of these? As to your spurious claim 'done more for people of 'color' than most preceding Presidents.' Would that include housing discrimination, to name just one?

Kirk

You, AL my friend, spent an awful lot of words defending the ‘rights’ of children after they are born, what about the rights of the heart beating unborn child, Al? Murder is murder, Al. Get a clue Al. The Supreme Court does not superseded God’s law, murder is murder, Al. And while we are on that subject, if people of any fertile age want to be men and women at night, then be adult enough to be men and women during the day. Abortion is not just for convenience. What about the ‘rights’ of the heart beating unborn child, Al? Al, you just showed your ignorance of housing discrimination by attempting to keyboard prosecute President Trump. If anyone lets or sublets to the public via a lease, verbal or written for any lease term is subject to the Fair Housing Act, Read it and check the dater of effectiveness, long before your favorite President became President Trump.

There you go Bob P, if it isn't 2020 it is "last election," again. You just can't let it go can you? Your "two party" system consists of Ronald Reagan Conservatives, Tea Party, libertarian, right-wing populist, and Trump. And that is just the Republicans, who by the way are nothing like the Republicans of Lincoln who supported blacks. Furthermore Trump is Republican because he couldn't run on the Democratic ticket, just as Bernie is Democratic because he couldn't run viably as a socialist. Your naiveté is showing Bob P. Two parties, right! Mitch McConnell, polls in Kentucky indicate his days may be numbered, defies the law denying the last president the appointment of a judge to the Supreme Court and populates that court with the likes of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh in a deliberate effort to challenge Roe vs Wade, law of the land since 1973. The "Sorry it was he [sic] second sentence" was his, not hers, Bob P. read it "Among his many claims are..." What's the matter Bob P? Trump tells so many lies even you cannot keep up with them? The toilet IS Trumps Administration Bob p. Something he promised to drain as I recall. The swamp has gotten far worse with the likes of George Nader's roles in the campaign, transition and first year in the Administration. A man arrested and pleads guilty in 1991 to child pornography, was convicted of sexual abuse of minors in the Czech Republic in 2003, and has been arrested again on child pornography. This is a man who testified as a major witness in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and his immunity from that couldn't save him. And you justify support for these people, Trump's People, Trumps Administration. Are these your kind of people Bob P? I ask because I really cannot understand how anyone could support these people publicly.

Kirk

Hey Al, have you ever said anything positive about anyone? Why don’t you state exactly what you stand for rather than belittling other people? What is your political position? Do you really support murder of an unborn child as Roe verses Wade is your ‘bible’ of choice. What about the choice of the child? President Trump has done more for people of ‘color’ than most preceding Presidents. Try a little Latuda Al, with your morning coffee :-/

AlfredSBlakey

Bob P, actually Magdalena started out talking about immigrants. "...Trump has been insulting and inciting hatred against immigrants especially people of color." It is HIS "many claims" that refer to illegal immigrants, not hers. She cites her sources to counter "Trump’s claim that immigrants commit serious crimes like homicides, rape and larceny at much higher rates..." The final analysis as stated, "Does Trump say these things out of ignorant but sincere belief, or simply to incite his base? The former would be a sad commentary on his intellectual fitness. The latter would mean he is a malicious liar willing to do anything to obtain votes.", in fact condemns Trump, clearly laying out the gullibility of his supporters. It is you, Bob P, doing the smearing; "typical left narrative." Where are your sources verifying this claim? "typical left narrative" Bob P, also known as the truth. A concept foreign to people willing to be blindly lead by rhetoric spewing hate, and accepting it, along with the 10,000+ lies, crime and corruption of the entire administration because it is validating their own beliefs.

Bob P

You truly make me laugh. Sorry it was he second sentence where she states that Trump Say that illegals cost , jobs lower wages overburden our schools and hospitals and such. This is where the old lefty talking point comes in because she claims that studies show that that is false, she did not State that it was illegal immigration, but immigration. That is the lefts narrative, they know that illegal immigration is a huge strain, and costs tax payers billions and billions of dollars every year. Truly the only smearing is from people like you al, with your constant barrage of derogatory comments about Trump and his supporters. It is truly sad that you would rather see this country fail, the see Trump succeed. The typical left narrative is far from the truth. We, as a 2 party system have always have always had disagreements, but the lefts willingness to see this country go back in the toilet because of the last election is sad, and actually pitiful.

Bob P

Wow, in typical left narrative you start out talking about illegal immigration but then switch to using stats from legal immigration to try and smear our President.

Kirk

Spot on Bob, the left socialists wing-dingers have organized their media smear tactics with ole Al as the commander in chef serving up the insults :-)
