Onward and upward

Congratulations to Teddy Waszazak on his successful run for Ward 2 City Councilor. I ran an independent, honest and clean campaign and am proud of that fact. Despite, the numbers not ending in my favor, I plan to remain engaged. I will continue to do my charity work, volunteer and participate on the Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee for the City.

Since the election, I have received a few emails asking to connect to discuss citywide initiatives. Please know that I have read them and I will respond. I am taking some time, after being so busy the past month, to just enjoy my family, life and newly remodeled kitchen (who remodels a kitchen in the midst of an election).

Teddy, I appreciate your kindness. I know you will work hard for the city. Some “mom advice”: Be proud of yourself. Try to remember not everyone in your corner has your back and if it doesn’t feel right, don’t say it or do it. I look forward to seeing what gets accomplished with fresh ideas on the council.

Onward and upward, Barre City.
