It is so predictable some people would complain about the recent MSMS fundraising promotion. After all, it seems like there are many people in Montpelier always complaining about something.

A very polite, articulate, engaging young MSMS student knocked on my door last week to ask my interest in buying the discount card. She was excited about the program but more excited to be successful in selling the promotion ... and what she could personally achieve. She answered my questions about the discounts honestly and explained what the benefits to her fellow students would be.

I believe these promotions (which were going on when I was in MSMS) teach young people today, many positive values.

I wonder if either (or both) of the complainers in this article ever went to a meeting where this project was discussed in detail.

I sincerely hope the students meet their goals.
