The Friends of the Aldrich Library want to express our thanks and appreciation to all the folks who supported out annual Banquet/ Auction held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Elks Club. A delicious meal was served by Mike Marinelli and his staff, preceded by drinks and appetizers provide by the Friends. Dave Sanguinetti, our wonderful auctioneer, livened up the evening with his banter and fun! We had 96 attendees and they bid on all the varied items ( in the silent auction as well as the live one) donated by our many generous businesses and individuals. I am so appreciative to all the Friends who made the evening possible, the Elks for the lovely venue and to the library staff, director Lauren Polk, for their assistance and support.

This event and our summer Book Sale on the lawn of the library during Heritage/Homecoming Week make it possible for us to help provide library programs including Authors at the Aldrich, the Children's Summer Reading Program and Story Hour, Senior Days, funds for the Teen Room. We also provide funds for the purchase of new books and other materials.

"I love our library", it is a treasure and we all need to support it and the people who are helped in so many ways. Thank you, all.
