Just a note in response to David MacMartin's letter published in the Nov. 30 edition of The Times Argus. He takes issue with my use, in my letter you published recently, of a politician using a hate word, who happens to be on the left, Sen. Sanders. He would have had me use examples from both sides of the political aisle. Perhaps I should have, but my intention was to use only one example and that example was fresh in my mind. I did not have to do any research. Politicians on the left and the right use hate words to generate an emotional response from their base supporters. Let's stop doing that, let's stop using hate words.

Mr. MacMartin has misjudged my intentions and yes, I am familiar with Matthew 7:5. I am also familiar with Matthew 7: verses 1 and 2, “Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.” Peace.
