Thank you for your editorial regarding flawed holiday treasures. It provides a needed reminder that, especially around the holidays, people need to take a breath and use their common sense.

Pointing out the creepy undertones to a holiday standard like "Baby, It's Cold Outside" is not an attack on holiday traditions, it's an attempt to make them better. How about an instrumental version of that lovely song, instead?

In my family, we try to look at the humorous side of these flawed classics. Let's face it, Santa is probably such a jerk to Rudolf at first because the horrible gray food that Mrs. Claus hounds him to eat is causing indigestion.
