Your lead article in your April 18 edition of The Times Argus reads "Prop 5 testimony heated.”
This issue is not going away because many people see this as a moral issue, that is, the deliberate killing of innocent life.
Some people want sex but they don't want the natural consequences of sex and want the state of Vermont to provide a way out for them even if it means the killing of innocent human life.
To illustrate how far the Democratic Party has gone on this issue, they voted down United States Senate bill 311 introduced by Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb. The title of this bill reads: To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit a health care practitioner from failing to exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.
Why would someone vote against saving a child who survives an abortion? I read the bill, which was not lengthy, and there were no restrictions to the right to an abortion. Why would anyone leave a child on a table to die cold and naked. The Democrats in the Senate are apparently OK with that outcome.
