We already have a shortage of child care centers in Vermont and now three in Montpelier are closing due to financial reasons.

Maybe this will be a wakeup call to the state that these places need funding? We need more of them, not fewer of them.

I applaud the idea of after school care but that is not enough - parents need all day care as well, for children younger than school age. If you want more people to move to Vermont, you need to provide child care so that they can be employed.

And, on that subject, what about bringing some of the refugees here?
