I think it is noteworthy as we watched this year's World Series that not one professional baseball player has taken a knee during the national anthem this entire season.

I think it is also noteworthy that the baseball commissioner has quietly governed the league out of the often controversy such a position can generate.

The NFL could take a lesson from the conduct of this group of professional athletes. Colin Kaepernick would probably be playing today if he had chosen to take his issues and protest off the field of play.

I salute these players and their commitment to civility at time when such action is much needed.
