What an inane process. First we were told the the merger would save the taxpayers money. Then they jack our property taxes up, saying a lot of new students. Now we're telling Roxbury all in or all out? If they opt out, then where's our property rebate?

Hate to pile on, but in Montpelier, 70% of the education increment of our property taxes for the next 20yrs has been directed to payback the loan for Bashara's parking lot. That's $15.75 million dollars diverted from our school, into a parking lot. Many of us didn't know this when we were "voting" on the referendum.
