Vera E. Miller NORTHFIELD — Vera Everon Miller, 94, died Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the Four Seasons Community Care Home in Northfield. She was born in Northfield on July 6, 1924, the daughter of Joe and Vera June (Dunsmoor) Hardaker. She attended Northfield schools. She married William Miller, March 23, 1945; he predeceased her in October 1992. Vera worked most of her career at Northfield Wood Products in Northfield. She is survived by her four children Betty Rounds and spouse Stanley, of Northfield, William Miller Jr. and longtime companion Barbara Utton, of Danville, Robert Miller, of Springfield, Allan Miller and spouse Cindy, of Roxbury; special daughter-in-law, Penny Miller; siblings Lilly Cook, of Northfield, and Betty Lockerby, of Alburgh; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children Everon Capone, Russell Miller and Patricia Miller; siblings Arthur Edward Hardaker, Robert Hardaker, Beverly Robinson, Evelyn Marquis; also a special cousin, Minnie Robinson; three sons-in-law Charles Capone, Thomas Farnham and Douglas Farnham. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A gathering in her memory is planned for late June or early July at Allis State Park in Brookfield. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in her memory to the Northfield Senior Center, 168 Wall St., Northfield, VT 05663; or the Four Seasons Community Care Home Activity Fund, 135 South Main St., Northfield, VT 05663.
