Shelley E. Henry BARRE – Shelley Elaine (Prevost) Henry, 62, of Hill Street, passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at her home. Born May 20, 1956, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of Gordon and Joan (Widgington) Prevost. Shelley attended local elementary schools and graduated from St. Thomas High School. Following her graduation, she made her home in Pointe Claire, Quebec. She was employed by the Royal Bank of Canada. On May 9, 1978, she married Lynnford Henry. Shelley moved to Barre in 1986. She was employed by Global Values, Adams Granite and Rouleau Granite. In her spare time, she enjoyed needlepoint, color art and crafts. Survivors include her partner, Victor Chaput, of Ferrisburgh; her sons Jeremy Henry and wife Kim, of Naples, Florida, and Logan Henry, of Randolph; her grandson, Theo Harper Russin, of Essex; her mother, Joan Kennell and husband Arthur, of Barre; her siblings Bradley Prevost, of Montreal, Quebec, Wade Prevost and wife Elena, of Toronto, Ontario, Corey Prevost, of Atlanta, Georgia, Martin Prevost and wife Linda, of Barre, Chrysanne Hedberg and husband Erik, of Durham, North Carolina, Susan Cole and husband Chuck, of West Boylston, Massachusetts, and Danny Kennell, of Montreal, Quebec; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Gordon Prevost; as well as her paternal grandparents Clifford and May Prevost; and her maternal grandparents Fredrick and Lillian Widgington. A service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Barre Lodge of Elks #1535, 10 Jefferson St., Barre. Family and friends may call on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hooker Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, VT 05641. Later inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
