Rose T. Lorenzini rites SOUTH BARRE — A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate the life of Rose T. Lorenzini, 85, was held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. She passed away on Aug. 10, 2019, in Berlin. The Rev. Monsignor Reid C. Mayo, former pastor of the church, was the celebrant. Crucifer Fred Letourneau was the altar server. The eulogy was given by son Mark Lorenzini. The Old Testament reading was done by granddaughter Phoebe Christopher and son-in-law Peter Christopher read from the New Testament. Organist and vocalist Rosemary Badeau accompanied vocalists Paul Plante and Ron Routhier in the hymns, “Here I am Lord,” “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” “Ava Maria,” “Be Still My Soul” and “How Great Thou Art.” Father Mayo read the Gospel and delivered the homily. Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by grandchildren Jenna, Laura and Jack Lorenzini and daughters-in-law Alana and Greta Lorenzini. Prayer of the Faithful was led by Fred Letourneau. Pallbearers were sons Alan and Paul Lorenzini; grandsons Tyler Lonczak and Bowen Christopher; and sons-in-law Tom Lonczak and Peter Christopher. Burial followed the Mass, in St. Sylvester Cemetery in Websterville where Father Mayo read the committal prayers and gave the final blessing. Following the burial, family and friends gathered at the Steak House on the Barre-Montpelier Road for a time of fellowship and luncheon. The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, was in charge of the arrangements.
