Randolph A. Gonyaw Sr. rites WEBSTERVILLE — The celebration of life for Randolph A. Gonyaw Sr., 87, was held on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, in the Durant Cemetery in Lower Cabot. He passed peacefully away in the comfort of his family on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin. The Rev. Herbert Hatch, pastor of the Old Brick Church in East Montpelier, led the service and read a poem written by Evangeline (Honey) Thompson, Randolph’s sister. He also read tributes from Randolph’s grandson, Kasey Gonyaw, and Liza Walbridge, Randolph’s niece. Ashley Gonyaw, Randolph’s granddaughter, shared memories of her grandfather’s life. Rev. Hatch concluded the service by offering the committal prayers. Following the service, family and friends gathered at the home of Randolph’s son, Randolph Gonyaw Jr., for a time of fellowship.
