Paula A. Clement rites ORANGE — The service to honor and celebrate the life of Paula A. Clement, 58, was held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at 1 p.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre. She passed away on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020. The Rev. Candace Ricker, pastor of the Groton United Methodist Church, led the service and read from scripture. Before the service, the members of the Vermont State Grange performed a prayer service which was led by Errol Briggs from the Executive Committee with participants as follows: Jenny Nelson as Chaplain; Lisa Goodrich as Ceres; Kathleen Paglia as Flora; Kendal Holden as Overseer; Nancy Perkins as Secretary; Joe Goodrich as State Master; Stewart White and Brenda Rousselle from the Executive Committee and Lester Gibbs as Musician accompanied the grange members in the hymn, “Abide by Me.” Following the service, family and friends gathered at the Riverside Grange Hall in Topsham for a time of fellowship and sharing. Entombment will be in the Hooker and Whitcomb Vault. Later interment will take place in the West Topsham Cemetery.
