Madyne I. Moran SOUTH BARRE — Madyne I. Moran, 93, of Cedar Cliff, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin. Born Dec. 17, 1925, in Barre, she was the daughter of Roger and Jesse (McLean) Veino. Madyne attended local elementary schools and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1944. Her parents passed away when she was young, and she lived with the Barret Nichols family until she met and married Stan Moran on Oct. 27, 1946, in Barre. After they married, they built their home together in South Barre, wintering in Florida for 18 years before selling their home there and moving back to Vermont in 2013. She was employed as a lawyer’s secretary at National Life Insurance Co. in Montpelier for many years. Then she worked for Jackson Dairy until it closed when she started working with her husband duracleaning rugs and furniture for 16 years. When not working, Madyne and Stan loved to hunt and fish together and in Florida, she enjoyed playing golf and biking. Survivors include her husband, Stan Moran; and her sons Michael Moran and Jon "Jack" Moran; as well as four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Welhelm. The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, assisted the Moran family with the arrangements.
