Lucille Barbara Felch RIVERTON — Lucille Barbara Felch, 86, of School Street in Riverton, died on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, with her family by her side. She was born on Feb. 27, 1933, the daughter of Robert and Ida (Hayford) Colbeth. She attended Montpelier High School. Lucille worked for several years for Dr. Ernest Tomasi as his nurse. Under his guidance, she was taught the skills needed to care for patients and for people, in general, especially her large family. She held several jobs over the years, including working in the lunchroom at Berlin Elementary School and as a postal clerk at the Riverton Post Office. In June of 1952, Lucille married Lester Felch. They later divorced. Together, they had nine children. Family was most important to her and her time was best spent while with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children Grover Felch and wife Mary, of Callahan, Florida, Robert Felch and wife Denise, of Berlin, Richard Felch and wife Teri, of Hilliard, Florida, David Felch and wife Cathy, of Northfield, Darlene Callahan and husband Peter, of Berlin, Linda Gilman and husband Steve, of East Montpelier, Lester Felch Jr. and wife Lisa, of Barre; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Lucille was predeceased by two children Donna and Billy. Per Barb’s request, there will be no services. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
