Lawrence E. Loso Jr. NORTHFIELD — Lawrence E. Loso Jr., 74, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at the Woodridge Nursing Home. Born Feb. 17, 1945, in Montpelier, he lived most of his life in the East Montpelier area, attended elementary school in Marshfield and graduated from Marsh-Plain High School in Plainfield in 1963. In 1976, he opened and operated Larry’s Cleaning Service and shortly after that, opened Larry’s Vacuum equipment and supplies. Prior to retirement after 35 years of business, he served as a board member for Project Independence. He loved driving a bus for them and helping those in need. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren supporting them in all their endeavors and dreams. He would easily bring a smile to everyone he met throughout his life, always quick with a funny face, silly voice, witty story or a joke to brighten their day. Lawrence was a lifetime member of the Barre Elks Lodge #1535. He was an avid collector of any memorabilia that was either Pepsi or NASCAR related. He enjoyed playing cribbage and card games with family, friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by his parents Pauline (Nelson) and Lawrence Loso Sr., he is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Loso, of 53 years; son, Thomas (Tina) Loso; daughter, Pamela (Michael) Howard; son, James (Suzanne) Loso; grandchildren Desiree, Sarah, Kaylee, Emily, Gianna, Connor, Emma, Samuel; sister, Sheila Hooker; brothers Bernard, Roger and Randall Loso; along with many nieces and nephews. The service to honor and celebrate his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, 600 Granger Road, Barre, VT 05602; or to Project Independence, 81 North Main St., Suite 1, Barre, VT 05641.
