Karen M. Crete WEST TOPSHAM — Karen M. Crete, 59, of West Topsham, passed away peacefully at home with her boyfriend of nine years, David Wark, and their beloved dog, Dakota, after a brief Illness. Karen was born in Barre City, the daughter of the late Andrew and Eleanor Crete. She attended Barre Town School and was a 1978 graduate of Spaulding High School. After graduation, Karen worked for a local collection agency, Rossi-Buick Oldsmobile and 17 years in the office of Twin City Subaru where she was known for her hard work and dedication in the fast paced auto industry. Karen loved family and her many friends, music, the beach, and was known for lighting up any event and place she entered with her infectious smile and laughter. After suffering a stroke in 2016, Karen enjoyed living in West Topsham with the abundant wildlife and peacefulness. Karen is survived by her brothers Michael Crete, of Soperton, Georgia, Kevin Crete, of Tucson, Arizona, and Donald Crete, of East Barre; as well as her sister, Kathy and husband Tom Remsing, of Whidbey Island, Washington; Karen's partner, David Wark, of West Topsham; Sue Rossi, of Barre; and nephews Cameron Rossi-Crete, of Barre City, as well as Aiden and Zachary Crete, of East Barre. Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Eleanor Crete. Per Karen's wishes, there will be no service or calling hours and her ashes are to be spread in Galveston, Texas, where she always wanted to visit. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
