James W. Benway WILLIAMSTOWN — James W. Benway, 55, of Young Road, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at his home, with his family surrounding him. Born April 11, 1964, in Barre, he was the son of Albert and Charlene (Farrell) Benway. James attended local elementary schools and graduated from Williamstown High School in 1982. After graduation, he worked for Burrell Roofing for over 20 years. In his spare time, he was a car enthusiast, reading magazines and going to car shows. He specifically loved muscle cars. Survivors include his son and daughter, Kyle and Moriah Benway; his grandchildren Oakley and Aurora Benway; his parents Albert and Charlene Benway; and his brothers Donny and Ricky Benway; as well as his nieces Genesis, Alyssa and Kaylee Benway. A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at the convenience of his family. The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, assisted the Benway family with the arrangements.
