Gregory L. Amell NORTHFIELD — Greg Amell, 59, of Northfield, lost his battle with cancer on July 21, 2019. He was born on Oct. 24, 1959, to Janice (Brassard) and Lewis Amell. Greg worked many years for Dave Hayden at the Northfield Fuel Co. Most recently, he worked at Union Mutual Insurance where he was in maintenance. If you had anything that needed fixing, you asked Greg. He could do it. If you were searching for anything, he could find it for you on Craig's “Greg’s” list. He loved his family dearly. He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Laura; his sons Christopher, Jon (Megan) and Patrick; his beloved daughter, Corie; his special nephew, Stephen (Morgan) and his son, Carter; his two beautiful granddaughters Madison and Sydney Amell; his parents Janice and Lewis; his brothers Scott (Barb) and Steve; nephews Anthony and Matthew; nieces Hillary (his special Goddaughter), Courtney, Jen and Trish; and many other relatives. He was predeceased by his brother, Kevin. Calling hours will be on Thursday, July 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kingston Funeral Home, Slate Avenue in Northfield. There will be a private graveside service for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Greg to the UVM Cancer Center.
