Freida Nadeau Garand BARRE — Freida N. Garand, 91, of Spring Hill, Florida, and formerly of Barre, died March 31, 2019. Born on Aug. 12, 1927, to Alex and Winifred Nadeau, of Graniteville, she attended Spaulding High School and graduated in 1945. Freida married Raymond Henry Garand on Aug. 27, 1949, and they were married for 63 years before his passing on Sept. 19, 2012. Freida is survived by her four daughters Cynthia Garand, Judith Hoyt, both of Spring Hill, Daryl Dubrovich, of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Debra Garand, of San Rafael, California; as well as two brothers Sheldon Nadeau, of Barre, and A. Douglas Nadeau, of Graniteville; in addition to many nephews and nieces. A graveside service will be held in late June in the Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier. The daughters would like to thank Hospice of Spring Hill, Florida, for their kindness and understanding while their Mother was in their care.
