Elroy "Lee" Litchfield Sr. WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Elroy “Lee” Litchfield Sr., 68, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center of White River Junction. He was born Aug. 2, 1951, in Randolph, to Virginia (Howard) and Henry Litchfield. Lee was a gem of man with many facets to his character. A few of those facets included, but were not limited to, his role as a loving patriarch to his children and grandchildren; his service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; and the unwavering helpfulness that he would offer to friends and strangers alike. Lee was not a man to surrender easily. Despite his addictions and demons, he persevered to gain his GED and work among companies such as Bombardier, Capital Candy and even the Veterans Administration Hospital, before his retirement. Whether retired or just plain tired, Lee was never one to turn down a camping adventure, a trip to the beach, a few hours with a fishing pole, a game of mini-golf or a quick snooze in the sunshine. Lee will be remembered in many regards by the countless people whose lives he has touched. His laughter, kindness and enthusiasm to lend aid to anyone in need. will burn brightly in many memories. Lee was predeceased by his parents; two brothers Raymond Litchfield and Rolfe “Mike” Litchfield; nephews Henry Litchfield and Joe Huntley; and two sons Henry Litchfield and Elroy “Lee Lee” Litchfield Jr. Lee is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Tillotson) Litchfield (West Topsham); his three daughters Brandie Litchfield (Barre), Charlie Mae (Litchfield) Otis (East Barre), Tasha (Litchfield) White (Charlottesville, Virginia); his son, Phillip Litchfield (Minerva, Ohio); two stepdaughters Kayley Sicely (West Topsham) and Lizzie Sicely (West Topsham). He leaves behind many grandchildren, including his grandsons Anthony, Colby, Atticus and Marley; and his granddaughters Cheyenne, Ciel, Elana, CJ, Katie and Emma. Lee was similarly survived by his brother, Duane “Pete” Litchfield (Bethel); sister, Linda (Litchfield) Sheldon (Braintree); and many nieces/nephews. A private event to celebrate his life will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Veteran Affairs Medical Center located in White River Junction, VT.
