Eleanor M. Graham April 15, 1933 - April 5, 2019 MARSHFIELD — Eleanor M. Graham, a resident of Marshfield, passed away in the comfort of her home and family on Friday, April 5, 2019, while resting in her sleep. She had been in declining health the last few months of her life. Born on April 15, 1933, in Elmore, she was the daughter of the late Azro and Anita (Reynolds) Perry. Eleanor married Glen R. Graham on Feb. 23, 1959, in Waterbury. Glen predeceased Eleanor on Sept. 24, 2012. Eleanor graduated from Waterbury High School in 1951 and later in life, attended Goddard College. She worked at a variety of jobs, including the Headstart Program; she and Glen worked a dairy farm in Walden for several years; and she was employed for a number of years at Berlin Health and Rehab as a housekeeper; and also worked as a private housekeeper for several families in the local area. For 20 years, Eleanor and Glen owned and operated Graham’s Greenhouse; after Glen’s death, she continued to operate the greenhouse with the help of her son, John, and her daughter, Lisa. Eleanor is remembered for the simple pleasures she enjoyed in life. An avid book reader her entire life, she embraced the e-reader given to her simply for the fact she had a book to read in minutes. Eleanor was an exceptional crafter and is well-known for the dolls she made. She loved being in her garden, even the weeding, and said her soul was at peace there. Throughout the years, she loved watching her family grow, and immensely liked when her family gathered all in one place to celebrate holidays and birthdays. She enjoyed camp at Lake Elmore and Lake Eden. Eleanor is survived by her children Rhonda Larrabee and husband Brian, of Waterbury, Terry Graham and wife Tina, of Berlin, John Graham, Lisa Graham, Michelle McLaurin and husband Scott, all of Marshfield; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers Donald Perry, of Northfield, Bernard Perry, of Waterbury, and a sister, Brenda Degreenia, of Graniteville; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Graham, in 2017. Burial for Eleanor will be private at a later date beside her husband, in Franklin. Any memorial gifts would be appreciated to Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, 600 Granger Road, Barre, VT 05641 (cvhhh.org). Assisting the family is the Stephen C. Gregory and Son Cremation Service in South Burlington (802) 985-3523.
