Donald G. Belisle rites BARRE — The Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate the life of Donald George Belisle, 63, of Granite Street, was held on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, in the St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. He passed away on Oct. 25, 2019. The Rev. Patrick J. Forman, pastor of the church, was the celebrant. Crucifer Fred Letourneau was the altar server. Scripture readings from the Old Testament were read by George Paul Gagne, cousin, and Laurie Trombley, also a cousin, read from the New Testament. His aunt, Angele Moreau, read the poem, “Autumn Rain,” by DH Lawrence. Organist and vocalist Rosemary Badeau accompanied the congregation in the hymns, “On Eagle’s Wings,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Be Still My Soul,” “Ave Maria” and “Here I Am, Lord.” Father Forman read the Gospel and delivered the homily. Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by his aunts Angele Moreau, Jeannine Dunham and Mariette Beede. Pallbearers were Peter Gazzetta, John Gazetta Jr., Michael Raboin Jr., Patrick Raboin, Russell Beede and Ronald Beede, all cousins. Burial followed the Mass, in St. Sylvester Cemetery in Lower Websterville where Father Forman read the committal prayers and gave the final blessing. Following the burial, family and friends gathered at the Steak House on the Barre-Montpelier Road for a time of fellowship and luncheon. The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, was in charge of the arrangements.
