David G. Wilson PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. — David G. Wilson, 70, joined his ancestors on Jan. 17, 2019, after a brief illness. Born Feb. 26, 1948, and raised in Barre, David was proud of his Vermont roots. The son of George and Freida (Watson) Wilson, he attended Barre City Schools and graduated from Spaulding High School with the Class of 1966. He enjoyed recounting the march from the original high school to the Ayers Street location. He attended the University of Vermont, leaving prior to graduation to travel around New England. In 1972. he married Rosemary Scrivano in Connecticut. They moved to Arizona and welcomed two daughters. With Rosemary's support. he established himself in both the real estate and construction industries. They later divorced. David loved building and formed Starcastle Development. He was fascinated by the constantly changing technology and embraced the green and energy efficient concepts. He received awards in both areas and never lost his enthusiasm for testing new and emerging methodology. In 2000, he married Rita Brooks in Arizona. They also divorced. After leaving the construction industry, David worked as a consultant. He loved the art of the deal, and negotiated many interesting agreements. Working with various partners, he was able to put together many unlikely buyers and sellers. His illness was sudden and severe. He was very fortunate to be attended by his longtime friend, Dr. Lester Melnik. David will be missed by his daughter, Julie Meier and husband Derek and their children Ava and Owen; his daughter, Kerry Gomez and her children Sydney and Mason; his sister, Kay Paterson and husband James; and nephews John and wife Kim and their children Jack and Kate, James and wife Sheila and their children Anna, Erin and Grace, and Andrew and wife Michelle and their children Nicole and Ryan. A service to celebrate David's life will be held in the spring in Vero Beach, Florida, where both his daughters reside.
