Dalton E. Flint NORTHFIELD — Dalton E. Flint, 77, formerly of Randolph, died Saturday, April 13, 2019, at his home. He was born Dec. 9, 1941, in Randolph, the son of Hale and Margaret (George) Flint. He attended Randolph and Braintree area schools. Mr. Flint served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Arlene (Trombley) in 1965; Mrs. Flint died in 2011. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Northfield, Northfield Senior Center, and a lifetime member of the NRA. Mr. Flint enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, riding the back roads and writing poetry. Survivors include two daughters Stacy Flint, of Brookfield, Wanda Huntley, of Barre; two sons Michael Sheldon, of Bethel, Dalton Flint II, of Burlington; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The celebration of his life will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Northfield American Legion Hall. The graveside memorial service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, in Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Northfield Senior Center, 168 Wall St., Northfield, VT 05663. Arrangements are by Day Funeral Home in Randolph.
