Cynthia S. Pittinger NORTHFIELD - Cynthia Sue Pittinger, 63, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at her home in Northfield. She was born March 22, 1955, in Montpelier, the daughter of Wilfred & Jacqueline (Hughes) Bussiere. She was a graduate of Northfield High School, class of 1973. In the early-1970s, she lived in both Texas and Oklahoma, returning to Vermont in 1982. She had worked for Aubuchon Hardware in Northfield, owned a seafood business, “Made By The Sea,” in Northfield, provided loving daycare to her nephew, Neal, nieces Olivia & Jenny for many years, and was also a “preloader” for the United Parcel Service for over 30 years. She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Northfield. She enjoyed macramé, puzzles, games, baking, trivia television shows, car rides and especially, spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her twin daughters Lindsey and husband Josh Sanders, of Northfield, Jamie Nair and partner Jason Jagemann, of Northfield; stepdaughter, Jennifer Pittinger, of Northfield; six siblings Mark Bussiere and wife Pam, of Barre Town, Wilfred Bussiere Jr. and wife Lori, of Northfield, Jason Bussiere and wife Kelsey, of Florida, Bonnie Gayle, of Northfield, Leslie Covey and husband Lanny, of Williamstown, Jamie Bussiere and partner Mario, of North Hero; five grandchildren Jude Pittinger, Meera Nair, Julia Jagemann, Mya Sanders and Parker Sanders; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 6-8 p.m. at the Kingston Funeral Home, 35 Slate Ave., Northfield, where funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Friends of the Brown Public Library, 93 South Main St., Northfield, VT 05663.
