Catherine Anne Allard NORTHFIELD — Catherine Anne Allard, 60, loving wife, mother of two children, sister and friend to many, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. She was born in Northfield on Sept. 4, 1958, the daughter of Jerry Lynne Wall. She was a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, Texas, and later continued her studies at Vermont CCV and San Antonio College. She married William Allard and had two wonderful children, Jennifer and Drew. Cathy was a senior mortgage underwriter for many years for the Northfield Savings Bank. Cathy loved music, was known for her “wicked” sense of humor, enjoyed spending weeks at the beach, especially in the Florida Keys, enjoyed partying with friends and spending time with her family. Cathy was unique and special in many ways, one of which was a rare eye condition she had that split her eye into two different colors that made her eyes quite beautiful and appreciated by all who knew her. She took pride in the fact she could joke with the best of them and hold her own, always trying to bring fun to a gathering. She is survived by her husband, Bill Allard, of Northfield; two loving children Jennifer Titus-Lowe, of Essex, Drew Allard, of Northfield; a grandson, Dylan; her sister, Sara Steele, of Topeka, Kansas; a brother, David Therrien, of Alstead, New Hampshire; step-siblings Mary Katherine, Paige, Ruth Perkinson, all of Virginia; special uncle, John Wall, of Atkinson, New Hampshire; several nieces, nephews and many cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Jerry. In keeping with her wishes, calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 25, from 4-7 p.m. at the Kingston Funeral Home, 35 Slate Ave. in Northfield. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Northfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to her favorite charity, The Wounded Warrior Project. https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate

I was so sorry to read where Cathy had passed away. I worked in the Barre office of the Northfield Saving Bank in mortgages while Cathy worked in mortgages in the home office. I found Cathy to always be very pleasant. She will be missed by all who knew her. My sincere sympathy goes out to her family. May she R.I.P.
