Arland W. Parker rites WILLIAMSTOWN — The service to honor and celebrate the life of Arland W. Parker was held on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, in the Williamstown United Federated Church. He passed away on Jan. 19, 2019. Doug Cameron, pastor of the church, led the service welcoming the congregation and reading from Scripture. Pianist Kay Poirier accompanied the congregation in the hymns, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Amazing Grace.” A special musical tribute, titled “Grandpa,” was given by Donnie Smedy. A reading from Scripture was given by great-granddaughter Cassandra Kuhn and personal reflections were shared by granddaughter Linda Miller. Memories were shared by family and friends. Bearers were grandsons Eric Parker, Dakota Parker, Jeremy Lewis, Chase Lewis, Cory Bernier and Jason Bernier. Following the service, family and friends gathered in the church dining room for a time of fellowship and sharing. The Hooker Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, was in charge of the arrangements.
