Annette R. C. Hernandez NEW MILFORD, Conn. — A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate the life of Annette R. Couture Hernandez, 88, of New Milford, Conn. was held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre, Vt. She passed away on July 24, 2019 in New Milford, Conn. The Rev. Patrick J. Forman, pastor of the church, was the celebrant. Crucifer Fred Letourneau was altar server. Words of remembrance were shared by her grandson, William Hernandez. Scripture readings from the Old Testament were read by Roseana Burick, granddaughter, and Brielle DiCarlo, also a granddaughter, read from the New Testament. Organist and vocalist Rosemary Badeau accompanied vocalist Paul Plante in the hymns, “Here I Am Lord,” “Be Not Afraid,” “ I Am The Bread of Life,” “Song of Farewell” and “On Eagles' Wings.” Father Forman read the gospel and delivered the homily. Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Erin Riley, Kristen Cohen and Deanna Griffiths, all granddaughters. Assisting as Eucharistic Minister was Cecile Carbonneau. Prayer of the Faithful was led by Fred Letourneau. Pallbearers were Tony DiCarlo, William Hernandez, Stephen Riley, Jr., Connor Riley, Gianni DiCarlo and David Hernandez, all grandsons. Burial followed the Mass at St. Sylvester Cemetery in lower Websterville, Vt., where Father Forman read the Committal Prayers and gave the final blessing. Flowers were placed on her casket by family members. Following burial family and friends gathered at the “Steak House” on the Barre Montpelier Road for a time of fellowship and luncheon. Arrangements were in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., Barre, VT.
