Allen G. Sayers WORCESTER — Allen G. Sayers, 76, died Jan. 25, 2019, at the Berlin Health & Rehab Center in Berlin. He was a native to Roxbury and longtime resident of Worcester. He was born in Roxbury on Dec. 17, 1942, the son of Elmer and Christie (Williamson) Sayers. He was a high school graduate, having attended Roxbury, Northfield and Montpelier schools. He married the love of his life, Judy Nelson, on May 19, 1979, in Worcester. Allen worked most of his career in the painting and taping business in the central Vermont area. He enjoyed country music, hunting, yard sales, traveling the back roads of Vermont, family gatherings and greeting his many friends at the Worcester Community Market on Thursday evenings. Survivors include his wife, Judy, of Worcester; children Steven, Rosann, Scott; stepdaughters Kelli, Linda, Cheryl; brothers James, Ethan, Elmer; grandchildren Christopher, Stephanie, Kyle, Dylan, Jason, Ashley, Lily and Grace; nine great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Barb; sons-in-law Eddie, Bob, Mike; cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; 14 siblings; and stepdaughter, Pam. In keeping with his wishes, there are no scheduled services. A celebration of his life will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UVM Breast Care Center, 111 Colchester Ave., Main Campus, Level 2, Burlington, VT 05401. Kingston Funeral Home in Northfield assisted with the arrangements.
