The employees at Hill Farmstead Brewery in Greensboro have an annual tradition of donating their gratuities to benefit a local organization each year. The Greensboro Free Library used a gift of $3,173 from the brewery employees to transform a room at the library into a maker space. Geared toward young kids and their caregivers, the room is stocked with bins of creative materials, games and items for projects. Above, Ava Purdy hangs a project up to dry on a blackboard in the maker space recently. Left, area children busy themselves with projects at a communal table. Below, Scarlett Gould works on an art project.
