BARRE – Police say a Barre Town man had cocaine and other drugs.
A welfare check was conducted in October where police said Marcus Sweetser, 43, appeared unresponsive in his vehicle on Elm Street. Police said he was able to be roused, but appeared to be under the influence of drugs and police saw drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.
A search warrant was executed on the vehicle where police said they found 4 grams of cocaine as well as pills that Sweetser didn't have a prescription for.
He was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of regulated drugs. He pleaded not guilty and was released on conditions.
