HUNTINGTON — State police are investigating a report of a suspicious man who appeared to be stalking an 11-year-old girl on Raven Hill Road three days this week.

Police said a concerned parent reported the incidents — all involving a white male driving a black Jeep Patriot — Saturday.

According to police, the incidents all occurred earlier in the week and involved the same young girl.

Police said the man reportedly followed the girl home from her bus stop one day, parked in the driveway for several minutes and looked in the front door window of her home before leaving.

On each of the other two days, the man reportedly sat in the girl's driveway for several minutes after following her home, police said. He was reported to have been wearing a cowboy hat one day and a beanie-style hat on another day, they said, noting the Jeep Patriot appears to have chrome factory wheels on it.

Anyone with information concerning the incidents is asked to contact Cpl. Andrew Leise at the state police barracks in Williston at 878-7111.
