BURLINGTON – According to a news release from the U.S. State’s Attorney’s office, Dylan Avery, 21 of Barre, had been sentenced to 60 months for possessing a gun as a felon. Avery pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Burlington to a felony count of being a felon in possession of a gun. Avery was also sentenced to three years of probation after he is released from prison. He has been incarcerated since his arrest in June 2018.

Federal agents executed a search warrant on Avery’s home in May 2018, according to the release. Agents recovered nine guns at the home. The release said Avery has a felony drug conviction out of New Hampshire.
