MONTPELIER — On Tuesday, June 9, Jack Dale was treated to a 100th birthday Drive-By Celebration involving neighbors, friends from Christ Church and Westview Meadows, along with fire trucks and a number of police cars. His family thanks the City, friends and neighbors for recognizing this milestone. Mr Dale resides with his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Wendy Dale.

BARRE — The Computer Barn Ltd. selected Capstone Community Action to receive a donation of 10 desktop computer systems refurbished and setup for immediate use.

Northfield Savings Bank made a $15,000 donation to Vermont Foodbank as a result of NSB’s “Make a Mobile Deposit, Make a Difference” campaign. For every mobile deposit made in the month of May, NSB donated $3.

COLCHESTER — In response to the financial crisis and economic downturn faced by Vermont consumers as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vermont credit unions helped more than 17,680 members by granting forbearances or extending payments on mortgage balances, consumer loans, business loans, and funded small business loan applications through the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program. An additional $3.7 million in low rate or 0% emergency loans made to consumers brings the sum of COVID-19 financial support provided to Vermont credit union members to $384,277,928.

MONTPELIER — Ten Vermont Rotary Clubs joined Vermont dairy recovery and food assistance effort to raise over $10,000 to help Vermont Foodbank.
