A live performance celebrating the life, times, and music of Alfred "Crazy" Chase, a gifted and eccentric musician from the early 1900s who lived in Middlesex and Morrisville.

"The Return of Crazy Chase" is a live performance by Allen Church of Morrisville, celebrating the life, times, and music of Alfred "Crazy" Chase, a gifted and eccentric musician from the early 1900s who lived in Middlesex and Morrisville. Chase was a fiddler and piano player who could apparently play any song ever written after hearing it only a single time. Chase was also known for wearing women’s clothes, both on- and off-stage, for most of his adult life.  Allen Church shares stories and takes on the persona of this legendary character in a performance that honors northeast fiddling and Crazy’s independent spirit.
