Once On This Island is a beautiful story of love, persistence, and desire that makes bold statements about class divisions. In the story, Ti Moune, a fearless peasant girl in search of her place in the world, and ready to risk it all for love. Guided by the mighty island gods, Ti Moune sets out on a remarkable journey to reunite with the man who has captured her heart.

Note: The professional version of this show and the original script require casting based on race to represent the racial division between the two classes as well. The author of the musical wanted this story to be told in as many settings as possible as the message transcends race. Therefore, we are using the amateur script and the given revisions to remove racial casting requirements, allowing casting that is race-blind. This gives our community the opportunity to hear this beautiful story and all our cast members the opportunity to be cast no matter the color of their skin.
