Capital City Concerts presents "Sleepers Awake!” (Wachet Auf, BWV 140), the most beloved of J.S. Bach's cantatas. World-class singer soloists (Hyunah Yu–soprano, Steven Paul Spears–tenor, and Nathaniel Sullivan–baritone), a professional orchestra (composed of Vermont musicians with players from the New York City Ballet and Opera Orchestras, and Mostly Mozart), and a chorus and will be directed by Richard Riley. Other works on the program include a selection of arias featuring each vocal soloist and the motet Lobet den Herrn alle Heiden, BWV 230. Violinist Laurie Smukler will be the soloist in Bach's Violin Concerto in A minor, BWV 1041.
