Boy accused of robbing store at gunpoint


EDEN MILLS – Vermont State Police say a boy robbed Ingalls Market & Deli in Eden Mills on Friday. Police said the boy walked into the store, displayed a gun and demanded money. Police did not give the boy's name or his age. Police said the youth was chased out of the store by residents and fired his gun once while fleeing to his vehicle. Police said he was later located by residents who took him into custody until law enforcement arrived. No injuries were reported. The boy is being held without bail at Woodside Juvenile Rehabilitation Center in Colchester. He is scheduled to appear in Lamoille County criminal court on Monday to answer the charges of assault and robbery and recklessly endangering another person.
