LAKE MEMPHRAMAGOG – A small plane taxiing on Lake Memphramagog Saturday afternoon nose-dived into the ice after the wheels got caught up in snow.
The pilot, 56-year-old Robert Desrochers of St. Johnsbury was not injured, and the low-speed crash caused minor damage to the 1947 Censa 120, police said.
The incident is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the U.S. Coast Guard. Police say border patrol officials also assisted at the scene.
