    Thanks for voting

I would like to thank the voters of Barre Town for taking the time on a beautiful day to cast their ballots in the Vermont primary. While the turnout was small, I was able to meet some great folks.

It also happened to be the first day of school. I watched proud parents as they walked their children to classes. It seems like only yesterday that my wife and I were doing the same. The image reminded me that my 15 years on the school board was time well spent.

Some people asked me why I stood outside for 12 hours when I knew I was going to be one of the nominees to represent Barre Town. The answer is simple. I am willing to work to get the honor of serving the residents.

Thanks for showing up. In a small way it served as a reminder to the children who will soon be eligible to vote.
