• Local man cited on DLS charge

    BARRE — The Washington County Sheriff’s Department says a Granite City man was driving with a suspended license.

    According to the department, Leon A. Charlebois, 56, was driving on Berlin Street when he was pulled over for failing to use a turn signal. After an investigation, the department says, it was discovered Charlebois’ license was criminally suspended.

    He is to appear in Washington County criminal court Oct. 9 to answer the charge.
