• Assault report leads to pot arrest

    HALIFAX — Vermont State Police say a complaint about a domestic assault led to an arrest for marijuana cultivation.

    Police say the victim had been assaulted by Scott J. Leone several times within the month.

    Authorities say during the investigation they searched the home and found 193 marijuana plants. Leone pleaded not guilty to domestic assault and cultivation of marijuana Thursday and was released on conditions.
