Police enforcing sober driving
BARRE — Local law enforcement will be conducting patrols and DUI checkpoints leading up to and throughout Labor Day weekend.
This year’s statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” high-visibility enforcement campaign began Friday and will run through Sept. 1.
The Berlin Police Department says it will be participating along with Barre City, Barre Town and Montpelier police, Vermont State Police and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
In Vermont, and the rest of the country, anyone driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or higher is considered legally impaired.MORE IN This Just InHome fire kills
