• Thousands of nails spill on Vermont road

    NEW HAVEN — Authorities yesterday were busy cleaning up a 10-gallon bucket of nails that spilled from a vehicle onto U.S. Route 7 in New Haven.

    Police said the bucket of nails spilled in the southbound passing lanes. Thousands of nails were strewn across both north and southbound lanes on Wednesday morning.

    There were no reports of injuries.
