    Barre man hurt

    in I-89 accident

    WATERBURY — A crash on Interstate 89 sent a 76-year-old Barre man to the hospital Friday night.

    Vermont State Police said Bruce Booth was taken by a Waterbury ambulance to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin after a crash at 6:30 p.m.

    The crash in the northbound lane of the highway just north of exit 10 destroyed Booth’s 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

    Booth, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for injuries that police said were not a threat to his life.

    Police said the cause of the crash was related to an unspecified health issue.
